LaVonne M. Hill

LaVonne M. Hill, 75 of Mount Pleasant formerly of Souix City, Iowa and Riverside, CA passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. LaVonne was born January 13, 1941 in Luton, IA the daughter of the late Basil and Goldie Mowry Newman. LaVonne was formerly employed as a Dietary Technician for Westmoreland Manor, was a former member of the Red Hat Society and the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her 3 children, Kimberly Ohler and husband Steve of Mt. Pleasant, Kirk Fox of Ruffsdale and Kevin Fox and wife Pam of Mount Pleasant; grandchildren, Steve Ohler and wife Tara of Scottdale, Justin Fox and his partner Rob of Scottdale, Jason Ohler and Leslie of Bukllskin, Kayla Fox and her partner Zach of Belle Vernon, Mason Fox of Mt. Pleasant, Nicole Fox and her partner James of Monessen, , Zoe Fox of Vanderbilt, Bailey and Alex Niehaus; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Christian and Addison Ohler of Scottdale; brother Jerry Newman of Seattle WA, a sister, Mary Dewvel and husband Roger of Tombstone, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition to her parents, LaVonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elmer J. Hill, a granddaughter Jennifer Fox and a brother, Gerald Newman of Souix City, Nebraska. The family is inviting friends from 5 to 8PM Wednesday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE, INC 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant where services will be held at 8PM with Rev. Lee Maley officiating. Private interment will follow in Brown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department 100 S. Church Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA or the JR Gustafson Memorial Fund C/O Standard Bank 659 W. Main Street Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. Members of the Mt.
