Ray T. Kwak

Ray T. Kwak 86 of Bullskin Twp. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 27, 2015. Ray was born January 6, 1929 in Mammoth the son of the late John and Charlotte Wilson Kwak. Ray was a Korean War veteran serving with the Army, wounded, he received a Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge and United Nations Service Medal. Ray attended the Harvest Community Church, was a member of the DAV and the Purple Heart Society. He was employed and retired from Bryce Glass and Lenox Corp as a selector after 55 years of service and was a member of the Flint Glass Makers Union. Ray was very active as "God's helper" to the Amish community of Somerset. Surviving are his wife Charlotte Landy Kwak, with whom he would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this December, a daughter, Raelene Fabbri and husband William of Smithton; grandchildren, William Tonetti (Tony) Fabbri and Chelsea Rae Fabbri and fiance David Burnett and a great granddaughter, Zoee Rae Burnett; a sister, Dorothy Beverage of Mt. Pleasant and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Betty Ray, John Kwak, Verne Chappell, Norma Jean Landy, Audrey Greenawalt, Frank Kwak, Frances Hoza, Richard Kwak and Rosemary Kwak. Friends are invited from 6 to 8PM Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday to SALOOM-REGA FUNERAL SERVICE 730 W. Main Street Mount Pleasant 724-547-2122 where services will be held at 11AM Saturday with Pastor Rob Allison officiating. Interment with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post 446 Mt. Pleasant will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Twp. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Harvest Community Church Medsger Road Connellsville, PA 15425.
